What can you do to make your present memorable?

[av_one_half]A week before my wedding my best friend who lives in the other city, far from me, sent me a present by post. I didn’t know what it would be and I was looking forward to it, knowing my friend’s unusual creativity.[/av_one_half]

I was waiting for a long time to get his parcel and only some hours before the wedding I got the message that I could take it. I came to the post office and I had been standing in a queue for some time when I suddenly realized I had forgotten my passport. I went home for the passport and the woman at the window promised to give me my parcel without asking me to stand in the queue for the second time. I came to the post office again and asked to give me the parcel because I was going to be late for my own wedding, but she refused as she was too busy with the other client. The people in the queue were indignant at that situation, and then the other woman took a pity on me and brought the parcel. It turned out the parcel contained a flower Alexey had made for me from iron – a gilded lily.

You can see here how I was given the present.

I’m not sure what impressed me most: the present itself or how I was waiting for it and how it was given to me.
